Hell Realm (Naraka Realm)
The blazing fire and frozen ice self-forged by extreme wrath and venom, and the unending pure torment of punishment
"The Eight Hot Hells, the Eight Cold Hells, and the Avīci (Uninterrupted) Hell. They are not prisons established by any Yama King to inflict punishment; they are self-created mental cages manifested from the deep cruelty, slaughter, and extreme hatred and venom in one's own mind, suffering unceasing pain."
Karmic Causes and Universal Laws (Why Enter This Path?)
The fundamental karma for falling into the Hell Realm is “extremely severe anger, cruel slaughter, and committing the Five Gravest Offenses (killing one's father, killing one's mother, killing an Arhat, causing a schism in the Sangha, and shedding the Buddha's blood).” While alive, one has no compassion at all, using ruthless and savage means and taking pleasure in tormenting and abusing living beings; or one harbors a long-suppressed, bottomless vengeful poison deep inside, cursing heaven and earth and slandering the great law of cause and effect. At the moment of death, the fire of anger and baleful energy within the body resonate, instantly manifesting a realm of sword mountains, seas of fire, cauldrons of boiling oil, and freezing ice.
Modern Psychological Reflections and Characteristics in the Present Life
In the present life, the archetype of hell manifests as: severe manic rage personality, self-harm or homicidal/destructive tendencies; a deep-seated, long-burning, bone-deep hatred toward the world or specific people; long-term immersion in severe depression and scorching anxiety, paranoia, or severe schizophrenia. Although such people's physical bodies are still in the human world, their minds are already as if placed in a cauldron of boiling oil and a sea of fire, suffering endless nightmares every night and undergoing extreme mental torment.
Astrological Chart Imprints and Traces of Past-Life Karma
In the Eight Characters (BaZi), the four pillars show severe punishments and clashes among the earthly branches (e.g., the Yin-Si-Shen triple punishment, or the complete Chou-Xu-Wei triple punishment). The Seven Killings attack the Day Master endlessly without restraint, and the Yang Blade becomes extremely violent when clashed. In the birth chart, Pluto, Mars, and Saturn form a tight Grand Cross in malefic houses (the 8th or 12th house). The chart is dense with baleful energy, indicating that the soul carries severe bloodshed and killing entanglements from many lifetimes.
The Five Signs of Decay of Heavenly Beings (The Danger of Falling from Bliss)
The suffering of the Hell Realm is inconceivable: the Eight Hot Hells are Reviving, Black Rope, Crushing, Screaming, Great Screaming, Burning, Great Burning, and Avichi (Interminable) Hell, where beings are subjected to flaying and dismemberment, molten copper poured down the throat, and ten thousand arrows piercing the heart; in a single day they die and are reborn ten thousand times. In the Eight Cold Hells, icy winds tear the flesh, and skin freezes and cracks like red lotuses shattering; lifespan is measured in kalpas (Kalpa), and the pain never ceases for even a second.
