Marriage

My engagement was arranged against my will, and I want to end it. My father is not willing to listen to my concerns. If I tell him directly that I do not want to marry the person I am engaged to, I am afraid that he will make false accusations against me and question my character. I am also worried that this may create difficulties for my younger sister and negatively affect her future. Is there any way for this engagement to be ended? If so, how can it be done?

You shouldn't have to marry someone against your will. It may be difficult, but your feelings and consent matter. If your father isn't listening, try reaching out to a trusted relative, elder, or community leader who can support you and help communicate your concerns. Wishing you strength and hoping things work out for the best.
